LNPA 150 Monoblock Amplifiers

"... here are these 80 watt monoblocks effortlessly cruising at well over 100dB SPL. And it doesn't sound partucularly loud, just full! Amazing!"
Dave Moulton
Recording Musician

Each LNPA 150 amplifier has 2 large independent toroidal transformers, 2 large 33,000 microfarad power supply capacitors, built-in R.F.I./E.M.I. filters, a very simple wiring path and is fully regulated front to back... and this is only for one channel!
You will be impressed with what you DON'T hear with these amplifiers. The "glare" that is often heard from solid state components just doesn't exist in these amplifiers. The LNPA 150 delivers the lowest amount of coloration to the music. It will not homogenize, nor add euphonic components, nor mask the information on your source. It will however tell you everything you wanted to know about your loudspeakers but were afraid to ask. If you are looking for power, accuracy and reliability, the LNPA 150 is the power amp you're looking for!
"We don't have to say much about
our
LNPA 150 Monoblock amplifiers...
because its already been said for us."

"My Sept. '94 article on amps said that all amps sound pretty much the same, except when you overdrive them, and that you might be wisest to buy the cheapest amp that has adequate power. My experience with the R.E. Designs' LNPA 150 has made me rethink that." Dave Moulton |

"I will tell you straight-out that these amps literally caught me by surprise. To be honest, I did not expect to hear the kind of power, musicality, and finesse that they delivered..." Bill Wells |

"The LNPA-150s sounds nothing like the typical hyper-detailed audiophile transistor amp, and indeed is closest to the VAC 90 and the Wavelength Audio Cardinals in overall presentation. In other words, no transistor sound at all-- relaxed, unstressed, very fast and open, and a remarkable similarity to the top rank of pentode amps and the upper range of the triode amps... the transistor LNPA-150 and the triode SV811 sounded almost identical, despite radically different design philosophies." | "...
the R.E. Designs LNPA150s were among the nicest amplifiers I've ever had
the pleasure of reviewing. The 150s not only walked the walk, they positively
strutted! They were almost impossible for me to characterize sonically
because of their high transparency... I can only describe the midrange
as "complete". These amps had the uncanny ability to properly
reproduce not only the fundamental tones of instruments and human voice,
but also the overtones and harmonic structure that are often distorted
or glossed over by many other amplifiers... music through the LNPA150s
was more realistic, detailed and full of life."
